Every scientist knows that research requires you to think "outside the box", and in doing so explore new territory. We are continuously presented with innovative and new questions, methodologies, ideas, and challenges while undertaking this journey. As early-stage researchers (i.e. junior researchers) we are called upon to face these challenges and trained to adopt diverse perspectives and to explore new horizons while expanding our knowledge base.

This exciting journey called research - a journey that is now more collaborative than individual - should now also feature an arena in which to share your new ideas. The JURE 2012 conference in Regensburg is one such excellent opportunity to further your developing research journey. The JURE 2012 organizing committee cordially invites you to participate in a "Learning Odyssey", with world-renowned keynotes and invited workshop leaders and many talented young researchers together with whom we can all explore the New Horizons in Learning and Instruction.
